Privacy Policy

PRIVACY POLICY Last Updated: October 3, 2026 This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to nAIrrative, operated by Artzx LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") and governs data collection, processing, and usage. For the purposes of this Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to the Company include nairrative.com. The Company application is an interactive roleplay narrative generator based on the "Roll for Shoes" tabletop RPG system. The Company and nAIrrative are entirely independent and unaffiliated with Ben Wray, the creator of Roll for Shoes. nAIrrative.com uses player-provided character descriptions, story titles, and descriptions to build an interactive roleplay, using artificial intelligence as the narrator. The application is multiplayer, allowing a registered user to "host" a story and invite other players into a private lobby for a shared roleplay experience. Please read this Policy carefully to understand how we handle your information. If you do not agree with our data practices, please do not access or use the Service. I. COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION To provide our interactive storytelling features and prepaid Creative Juice purchases, the Company collects personal information. 1. Information You Voluntarily Provide to Us: * Account Credentials: First and last name, and email address collected during account creation. * Billing and Payment Data: If you purchase Creative Juice, Stripe and Link collect payment and billing information needed to process the purchase and applicable tax. Artzx LLC stores transaction references, purchase amounts, currency, credit grants, and payment status to fulfill purchases, reconcile payments, and provide product support. We do not store full card details in the game database. Do not send card details or passwords to product support. * Customer Support Communications: Information you share when you email us or submit support inquiries. 2. A Critical Restriction on Story and Character Inputs: Our Terms of Use strictly prohibit users from entering Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within story frameworks, character descriptions, or gameplay actions. We process text inputs solely to generate AI narrative progression and do not knowingly collect, harvest, or track real-world personal information hidden inside story or gameplay text. II. USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND LEGAL BASES We process your personal information based on specific legal foundations, depending on how you interact with the Service: * Performance of a Contract: To create your user account, manage multiplayer story lobbies, process one-time Creative Juice purchases, and deliver the core narrative generation services you request. * Legitimate Interests: To maintain platform security, detect fraud, fix software bugs, protect our infrastructure, and communicate system updates or structural changes to nairrative.com. * Legal Compliance: To carry out obligations arising from applicable state, federal, or international laws, including financial reporting and tax obligations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. With your explicit consent, we may also use your email address to inform you of other complementary products or services available from the Company. III. SHARING INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES The Company does not sell, rent, lease, or share its customer lists or personal data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. To deliver the Service, we share data with the following categories of trusted service providers: * Third-Party AI Engine Providers: To generate story text, the platform sends story context, character information, and player actions to configured AI providers, such as Google AI and model providers accessed through OpenRouter. These providers process submitted text under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Do not include personal information in story or gameplay text. * Payment and Operational Providers: We use Stripe and Link for one-time payments and transaction support. They process payment and billing information under their applicable terms and privacy policies, including https://stripe.com/privacy. For purchases marked "Sold through Link," Link handles transaction support and refund requests through https://support.link.com/topics/sold-through-link. Other operational providers support hosting, authentication, and transactional communications. Purchase and refund information is available at https://nairrative.com/purchases/index.html. We may disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with legal processes or statutory decrees served on the Company; (b) protect and defend the contractual rights or property of the Company; and/or (c) act under urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users or the public. IV. YOUR RIGHTS TO ACCESS AND DELETION Depending on your geographic location (including California and the European Union), you possess specific legal rights regarding your data. Upon receipt of a verifiable consumer request from you, we will: * Disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data we hold about you. * Delete account-linked personal information from our active platform databases, subject to the exceptions below and the retained anti-abuse record described in section IV-A. * Handle deletion requests with our operational providers where required. Payment providers may retain records for their own legal obligations and handle requests about their own transaction records under their applicable privacy policies. Please note that we may be legally unable to comply with total erasure or deletion requests if retaining your basic account data is strictly required to: * Complete an active billing or financial transaction for which the personal information was collected. * Complete delivery, reconciliation, or refund handling for a Creative Juice purchase. * Detect technical security incidents, defend against deceptive or fraudulent network attacks, or comply with an ongoing legal record-keeping obligation under Pennsylvania or federal laws. Ordinary account deletion removes the Creative Juice balance and account-linked credit history. Minimal payment references and financial review records may remain for reconciliation, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal record keeping, with the account identity and account generation cleared. These references can still be linked to a transaction held by the payment provider. Deletion from the live database does not automatically erase earlier backups or exports. IV-A. CREATIVE JUICE WELCOME CREDIT AND RETAINED ANTI-ABUSE RECORD The Service may grant a limited amount of promotional Creative Juice to an eligible account with a verified sign-in email address. To prevent repeated promotional grants, the Service normalizes the verified email by trimming surrounding whitespace and converting letters to lowercase, then computes a keyed cryptographic digest. The Service stores the digest and key version, not the email address, in a private anti-abuse record. This pseudonymous anti-abuse record remains after account deletion so the same verified email cannot receive the promotion again through a recreated account. The record is not anonymous because the Service can compare a verified email with it while the corresponding secret key is retained. Ordinary account deletion removes the account's Creative Juice balance, account-linked credit history, and test-refill receipts. The retained digest contains no account identity, raw email address, gameplay text, or payment information. One promotion is available per normalized verified email value, not necessarily per person. Email aliases may be treated as different values. The Service does not rewrite provider-specific plus aliases or dots. V. DATA SECURITY AND BREACH NOTIFICATION The Company maintains industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. In the event of a secure data breach affecting your personal information, the Company will investigate the incident promptly and provide digital notice to affected individuals and applicable state or international regulatory authorities in strict accordance with Pennsylvania data breach laws, California privacy mandates, and GDPR requirements. VI. STRICT AGE RESTRICTION (USERS UNDER 18) The Service is strictly intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. The Company does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, you are forbidden from creating an account or submitting any data to the platform. If we discover that an individual under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete that information from our servers and terminate the associated account. VII. THIRD-PARTY AUTHENTICATION AND INTEGRATIONS The Service allows you to sign in using Google or Microsoft through Firebase Authentication. We receive profile authentication data, such as your name and email address, to create and maintain your account. You can delete your account through the application and manage provider access through your sign-in provider's security settings. VIII. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS AND OPT-OUT RIGHTS From time to time, the Company may contact you via email to provide structural account notices, purchase confirmations, platform technical alerts, or support responses. While the Company does not currently distribute promotional marketing emails, if we initiate marketing campaigns in the future, you will be provided with an immediate, clear "Unsubscribe" link within the email body to opt out of further promotional communications. IX. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS AND STORAGE Your data is safely stored on secure cloud servers managed by third-party hosting vendors under commercial data infrastructure agreements with the Company. If you access the Service from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, please note that your personal data will be transferred to, processed, and maintained on servers located inside the United States. We utilize appropriate technical safeguards and data transfer structures to ensure your personal data remains protected. X. SPECIFIC CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA/CPRA) If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, grants you specific rights: * Right to Know and Access: You have the right to request details regarding the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, or disclose. * Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal data maintained about you. * Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, subject to specific legal and transactional infrastructure exemptions. * Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: The Company does not sell your personal data or share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Therefore, we do not display a "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" link. * Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you, charge you different prices, or deny you access to services for exercising your privacy rights. XI. SPECIFIC EUROPEAN UNION DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS (GDPR) If you are a resident of the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you the following statutory rights: * The right to access, update, or erase the personal information we hold on you. * The right of rectification (correcting inaccurate data). * The right to object to or restrict our processing of your personal data. * The right to data portability (receiving a structured digital copy of your account data). * The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on your consent. * You maintain the right to lodge a formal complaint with a European Data Protection Authority regarding our data practices. XII. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or our data practices change. For material updates, we will notify account users by email or through a prominent notice in the application and update the "Last Updated" date. When a new version becomes effective, you must acknowledge it through the Service before continuing to use account features. Historical versions remain available through the public Privacy Policy page. XIII.
